Korean and Japanese Travel Services Shower Huangshan City Tourism
OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2012. A delegation of South Korean and Japanese travel services arrived in Shanghai city, ending an inspection tour of Huangshan city.
During the three-day inspection, the delegation made on-the-spot assessments of Huangshan Ravishing Hot Spring, Charming Anhui, a theatrical performance in Xiangming Theatre, Hongcun Village, Jade Valley, Huangshan Mountain Scenic Spot, and Huashan Mystery Cave. The South Korean and Japanese guests were greatly impressed by the trip.
South Korea and Japan have been major tourism sources for Huangshan Mountain. In 2011, South Korea became the largest tourist source for Huangshan Mountain. South Korean tourists said that compared with a decade ago, Huangshan Mountain had a tidier environment and more advanced cableway facilities. South Korean tourists prefer to visit Huangshan Mountain if they enter China through Shanghai city. Young and middle-aged Koreans, accounting for over 60 percent tourists to China, are fond of climbing mountains. Huangshan Mountain is one of the most favored overseas tourism destinations of them. The Mountain plans improve recreational and entertainment supporting facilities at the foot of the mountain, open more direct flights and break the traffic bottleneck, to lower trip costs for tourists and travel agencies.
Huangshan Ravishing Hot Spring, located by Xin’an River in Tunxi district, is favored by domestic and foreign tourists due to its recreational facilities and unique hot spring resources. Ravishing Hot Spring, the opening project of the whole holiday resort, was built with an investment of 380 million yuan. It comprises of seven major sections and 60 hot spring bathing pools of diversified forms and functions.
The delegates experienced the hot spring with great interest. Yumiko Mori, director of the Shanghai business office of JTB Travel Service, said she felt good after the experience, saying the overall design suits the Japanese lifestyle. She said Ravishing Hot Spring has equally good hardware facilities compared with some Japanese famous hot springs.
On the afternoon of Dec 24, the delegates reached the summit of Huangshan Mountain via cableway. They checked in at Beihai Hotel and looked at lodging and catering reception at hotels on the mountain top.
Oota Tiaki, board chairman of Japan Travel Service, said Huangshan Mountain offers very good tourism facilities and sightseeing resources.
Sinji Yamamoto, chief of Shanghai Office of All Nippon Airways Co Ltd, said Huangshan Mountain is really beautiful, just as described in travel brochures, with its marvelous clouds and a neat environment. The lodging and catering services on top of the mountain were also commended. He suggested building more platforms for tourists to rest, setting up detailed Japanese message boards, and offering more Japanese and English television channels in hotel rooms.
