OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2012. In December, Allianz Ukraine Insurance Company reimbursed its corporate and retail customers (UAH 153,402 and UAH 37,668 respectively) for loss under motor hull insurance agreements. The biggest amount paid out by Allianz Ukraine last month totaled to UAH 18,101.

A loss event involving ZAZ TF 69 YO occurred in Kyiv. As a result of the collision with another car at the junction the insured vehicle incurred mechanical damage and was beyond restoring repair. Its constructive loss was established.

"An insurer will register "constructive loss" of a car, if post-crash repair costs are equal to or exceed 70% of the car value as of the time of the accident. It means that car repair makes no sense. Provisions of a motor hull insurance agreement with our company even allow the insured to be fully reimbursed in such cases" – says Yulia Shulga, Loss Adjustment Department Manager at Allianz Ukraine.
