OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2012. Ural Airlines has summarized operating results of 2011: main performance indicators of the air carrier grew 40-60% in comparison with the 2010.

In December 2011 Ural Airlines performed 1,691 flights (30% more in comparison with 2010). The figure includes 534 international flights, 754 domestic flights and 403 flights to CIS countries. During the last month of the previous year 187,633 persons used the Ural Airlines services (66% more than in December 2010). 70,165 persons travelled with Ural Airlines to international destinations, 75,355 to domestic ones and 42,113 to CIS countries. The actual passenger turnover in December was 521,843 thousand passenger kilometres which is 76% higher than the level of 2010.

Ural Airlines performed a total of 20,851 flights in 2011, which included 7,230 international flights, 9,561 domestic flights and 4,060 flights to CIS countries. Following the yearly results passenger traffic of Ural Airlines increased 40%. In 12 months of 2011 a record number of passengers – 2,513,371 - used the airline services. For the first time in the airline’s history the 2.5 millionth passenger checked in for the Ural Airlines flight on 31 December on the New Year's Eve. Most of the Ural Airlines passengers took flights to international destinations – 1,058,844; 1,012,362 persons used domestic services of the airline, whilst 442,165 flew to CIS countries. The total passenger turnover of Ural Airlines in 2011 was 6,832,808 passenger kilometres.
