Today speaking at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Communication and Information Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov said that this promoted to 18.6% increase of stationary communication penetration level among population and bringing the number of mobile communications users  on 3G technology up to 2 million in a short time.

" The level of mobile Internet penetration among population has increased up to 110% which is by 40% more compared to worldwide indexes. The number of Internet users makes 65%, 30% of which are wideband Internet users. At that tariffs for these services reduced by 35%. At present 35% of villages are connected to high speed fiber optic Internet main line created by two private and one state provider ",- he noted.

According to A. Abbasov for the reported period , the volume of revenues in postal sector rose by 23% and the Ministry jointly with Finance Ministry and Central Bank is considering the issue of new reforms implementation in postal sector.
