OREANDA-NEWS.  January 16, 2012. In 2011 Latvian national airline airBaltic carried 3,351,294 passengers in total, representing 5% increase comparing with 2010.

Latvian airline carried 197,459 passengers in December 2011 (from Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn), representing 5% decrease in comparison with the same month in 2010, when airBaltic transported 208,282 passengers.

In December airBaltic operated 3,508 flights or 12% less than in December 2010, when airBaltic operated 4,003 flights. Between January and the end of December, the airline provided 55,319 flights in total.

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in December 2011 was at a level of 71% - or 8 percentage points more than in December 2010. During the twelve months of 2011 the airline’s load factor was at a level of 75% or 6 percentage points more than in 2010.
 
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 88.4% in December 2011. This means that more than 88 of every 100 airBaltic flights in December departed at the time planned or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes. The accumulated 15-minute punctuality indicator for 2011 was 88,6%.
