Moldavian-Turkish Business Will Expand Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2012. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova this has been discussed during the Friday’s Moldavian-Turkish business meeting about 30 businessmen from Moldova and Turkey took part in. The Turkish delegation has included representatives of 8 companies operating in the sphere of tourism, auto parts sales, kitchen furniture and door manufacturing, metallurgic industry, agriculture, namely in animal breeding.
Vice-president of CCI of Moldova Vladimir Didilica has noted that Turkey and Moldova have had economic relations for a long time, but the trade potential has not been used in full. Within 10 months of 2011 economic entities of Moldova exported to Turkey goods at a sum of USD 59.5 mln., 14% up against indicators of the past year. The import form Turkey grew by 85% to USD 293 mln. The goods turnover between Moldova and Turkey increased by 68% as compared with 2010 though, the share of Turkey made up only 3,38% of the total volume of exports from Moldova and 7,05% of the total volume of imports to it within January-October, 2011.
Turkey is an attractive market for Moldova, Vladimir Didilica has stressed and expressed hope that businessmen who have taken part in the Moldovan-Turkish forum, will contribute in growth of goods turnover between the two states. The vice-president of CCI of Moldova has invited Turkish businessmen to learn more about Moldova’s economy and to visit the National show “Made in Moldova” to be held on January, 31 – February, 4 in Chisinau. At the meeting Turkish businessmen have spoken for establishing new contacts with partners from Moldova, expanding cooperation and increasing goods turnover.
Vladimir Seleznev, Moldova’s businessmen taking part in the meeting and president of the company “Infinity” has said that he has been working with Turkish partners for 15 years and established together with them textile business. The business is flourishing; the products are exported to markets of EU, the USA and Russia. Valdimir Seleznev has said he wants to find more partners to develop his business and create companies producing, processing and exporting knitted fabric and finished products from it.
Today afternoon after the meeting of the Council the delegation from Turkey attended Tracom, industrial park.
