OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. OMZ-Liteynoe proizvodstvo, which enters OMZ Group, produced several castings for the housing of high-pressure cylinder (HPC) of a steam turbine commissioned by CJSC Uralskiy turbine plant.

The contract for the supply of castings was signed in the first quarter of this year. The contract price is 36 million roubles.

Castings for power industry are a traditional product for OMZ. Production of castings requires from manufacturers strict compliance with technologies such as the production model set, and in molding and casting, as well as quality control of products at all stages of the cycle. The uniqueness of this order is that OMZ-Liteynoe proizvodstvo for the first time in its practice has taken on additional responsibilities for the machining of products and implementation of the required non-destructive methods of control. These operations were carried out in cooperation with other companies of OMZ Group - Izhorskiye zavody and IZ-KARTEKS.

Products are manufactured and shipped to the customer in accordance with contractual terms.
