OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. OMZ-Spetsstal, part of OMZ Group, has shipped the turbine workpiece shaft for Sayano-Shushenskaya power plant to OJSC Silovye mashiny. The workpiece is made from an ingot weighing 360 tons. The length of the finished product is more than 9 m, its diameter is about 3 meters.

The contract for the supply of two hydraulic shafts for the power plant, commissioned by OJSC Silovye mashiny , was signed in October 2010. The second shaft will be shipped to the customer in the first quarter of 2012.

This is not the first product, made by OMZ-Spetsstal for the power plant. In 2010, under the contract with OJSC Silovye mashiny the company has already shipped to the customer two turbine shaft. The current product, like previous ones, was made by Izhorskie Zavody with traditionally high quality.
