OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. TNK-BP informs that NGDU Sorochinskneft incorporated into OJSC Orenburgneft, a subsidiary of the TNK-BP Group, raised the level of associated petroleum gas utilization in 2011 1.2 times up to 72%, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

A second gas compressor was successfully launched and put into operation at the oil and gas treatment unit Zagorskaya, which increased associated petroleum gas utilization up to 95% in the Vakhitovskoe field and 90% in the Zagorsko-Lebyazhinskoe group of fields.

“The launch of a new gas compressor is yet another step forward in implementation of TNK-BP’s comprehensive program for minimization of the environmental impact of oil and gas production. Emission of pollutants produced by gas burning in flares will be reduced substantially owing to implementation of this project,” said Vladimir Kalugin, Head of the HSE Section at NGDU Sorochinskneft.
