OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. Strengthening social protection of families where the children are born is one of the priority tasks of the Government. This was stated by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Social Policy Sergiy Tigipko at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Sergiy Tigipko emphasized that the state budget for 2012 provided expenditures for assistance in the amount of 13.9 billion uAH.

According to the official, this year it will increase the level of benefits at birth by 10.5%:

first child - at  2730 UAH (from 26 100 UAH to 28,830 UAH);

second child - at 5460 UAH (from 52,200 UAH to 57,660 UAH)

third and subsequent child - at 10,920 UAH (from 104.4 thousand UAH to 115 320 UAH.).

According to Sergiy Tigipko, such steps are continuing systematic government policy to strengthen social protection of families.
