OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. Chernihiv city authorities and the public are stepping work aimed at increasing tourist attractiveness of the regional centre for the guests of Euro 2012.

In particular, in Chernihiv discussed the concept of building ancient stronghold, develop a program of cultural events a year, preparing volunteers.

Current issue is - reconstruction and restoration of objects located within the Enceinte.

Participants of the meeting were presented the Enceinte reconstruction project. It caused a lively discussion of participants.

The next step should be a joint effective work of authorities with representatives of the National architectural and historical reserve "Ancient Chernihiv" and scientists. They need to define the limits of Chernigiv stronghold of XI-XIX centuries, to hold inventory of its buildings, archaeological research, conservation objects and more.

Indifference to Euro-2012 is also discovered by Chernihiv masters and entrepreneurs. Recently, they offered their own expense to install on the Enceinte souvenir kiosks and pavilions of services’ canteen.

Great work expands to increase the tourist image of Chernigov. In Lviv and foreign sister city of the regional centre will be placed posters of Chernigov; commercials about the city is showing at the airport "Boryspil" and Weather channel.
