Belarus Grodno Azot Reports Fetilizer Output up 6.1%

Ammonia carbamide production grew 8.1% to 685,700 tonnes, ammonia sulphate production increased 10.6% to 351,750 tonnes, carbamide production edged 4,3% to 844,000 tonnes.
Ammonia production totaled 955,700 tonnes, up 3.4%, caprolactam – 120,000 tonnes, up 3.7%.
Commodity output in October totaled Br2.44 billion in fixed prices, 10% down.
Grodno Azot was set up in 1963 and transformed into an open joint-stock company in 2002. The Belarusian government holds a 99.97% stake. The annual capacity is estimated at 305,000 tonnes of sulphuric acid, 645,700 tonnes of nitrogen fertilizers, 111,200 tonnes of caprolactam and 55,400 tonnes of methanol.
