OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2012. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has charged the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Finance to work out a series of measures to further stimulate the modernization of equipment in the most power-consuming industries. The PM has declared it, opening the Cabinet meeting.

He said the introduction of energy saving technologies is extremely important for the domestic industry. According to Mykola Azarov, 2012 year should become a key to strongly modify the structure of energy consumption, reduce gas consumption and increase national energy resources. In particular, the Head of Government noted, within the frameworks of the program of import substitution it is scheduled completion of building of the first stage of the Dniester HPSP.

"We have to actively move from power-consuming equipment to the newest economic models and to do it so en masse. I charge the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Finance to work out a series of measures on the further stimulation of the modernization of equipment in the most power-consuming industries. Moreover, there are operating privileges that allowing not taxing these costs," Mykola Azarov said.
