Anhui Pushes forward Transportation Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2012. Anhui Province plans to inject 27 billion yuan to fund this year's transportation infrastructure construction, and the final investment volume might even hit 30 billion yuan, according to a work conference held by the provincial transport authorities.
On the agenda, two more bridges stretching over Yangtze River are expected to launch construction in 2012---2nd Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhu and Yangtze River Highway Bridge in Chizhou, along with several trans-provincial road projects, which include Langxi Section of Liyang (Jiangsu Province)-Guangde Expressway and Lixin-Zongyang Section of Jining (Shandong Province)-Qimen Expressway.
Many large-scale transportation projects that are under construction will be vigorously pushed, and some of them will see completion by the end of the year, including Bengbu-Huainan Expressway, and expressway linking Xinqiao Airport to downtown Hefei.
Hopefully, the mileage of newly launched expressway this year is expected to hit over 150 kilometers, adding the total mileage to 3,200 kilometers in Anhui.
Besides, 1,500-kilometer-long arterial highways of national or provincial level will be renovated, 1,000 worn-out bridges or roads in rural areas will be reinforced and 3,000-kilometer-long roads in counties and towns will be upgraded.
