OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2012. Taiyuan Steel has agreed to absorb Xiangfen County Xingyuan Iron and Steel Co Ltd as one of its member producers through ways of equity integration on a step-by-step basis.

Both will collaborate to benefit from their strengths management, production, research and marketing advantages from Taiyuan Steel and access to land and water resources in the Xiangfen region from Xingyuan Steel.

The future growth of Xingyuan Steel will be part of Taiyuan Steelбпs master development strategy. With aids from the stainless steel giant, Xingyuan Steel will eventually develop itself into a large full-flow integrated steelmaker with annual production of crude steel, pig iron and steel billet each topping five million tons.
