OREANDA-NEWS. Since 17 January, administrative responsibility for the illegal movement of goods including decriminalization of contraband goods increases.

In the country it will be repealed criminal penalties for this type of crime, as commodity smuggling, but the financial penalties will increase.

Till January 17, 2012, the difference between criminal and administrative liability consisted only in the value of the offenses. If the value of the offenses amounted to 470,500 UAH and more, there was advancing criminal liability, if it is less - administrative.

Now, due to the decriminalization of "commodity" contraband for illegal transfer of goods it will set in only administrative responsibility.
