Mobile services operator life:) has completed Next Generation Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (NG-WDM) project, which was implemented in cooperation with the Huawei company, world leader in the sphere of new generation ICT-solutions development. Due to the modernization and the expansion of DWDM network life:) has increased network access and data transfer rate.
Within the framework of this project life:) has extended its DWDM network backbone built 4 years ago at the regional level. The network is deployed on innovative NG-WDM platform Huawei OSN8800, which is based on the latest solutions for optical technologies. DWDM equipment supports 80 channels with up to 100 Gbps capacity on each wavelength. OSN8800 platform is a flexible and manageable NG-WDM transport platform, which combines such technologies as Wavelength Division Multiplexing, Optical Transport Networking, Reconfigurable Optical Add Drop Multiplexing, Terabit commutation capacity, 40 Gbps and 100 Gbps speed and powerful operation, administration and maintenance system.
