OREANDA-NEWS. January 10, 2012. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 7 "On Some Issues of Reorganizing Republican Unitary Enterprises into Open Joint Stock Companies ".

The document is aimed to prevent the distribution of shares of open joint stock companies among minority shareholders and boost the volume of investments raised by new open joint stock companies. The action plan to reorganize such republican unitary enterprises into open joint stock companies for 2011-2013 was approved by Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 348 of 21 March 2011.

In this respect, the Decree includes the list of republican unitary enterprises which reorganization into open joint stock companies in 2011-2013 will not lead to the sale of state-owned shares on preferential terms.
