OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2012. Advisor to IBA-Moscow Chairman of the Board Azer Safarov has participated in several events organized by the Yaroslavl regional public organization of the Azerbaijani national-cultural autonomy (YAROOANKA) in connection with the opening of the national cultural center.

According to the Bank, the event was attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, a delegation of NGOs of Moscow, Russian regions and Yaroslavl region. Within business meetings Safarov was received by Deputy Head of the Economics Department of the Government of Yaroslavl region B. Tamarov and outlined Bank’s activity priorities aimed at developing the Russian-Azerbaijani trade and investment projects of the CIS countries.

Safarov also underlined that the Bank intends to continue to provide strong support for the business of representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia and financing of regional development programs of small and medium businesses. In turn, B. Tamarov emphasized the investment attractiveness of the Yaroslavl region, substantiated the prospectivity of interaction for Bank IBA-Moscow and its partners with several branches, paid special attention to innovative industrial parks, greenhouse complexes, logistics centers and transportation hubs.

At a "roundtable" meeting dedicated to issues of harmonization of interethnic and interfaith relations, Safarov stressed the importance of expanding economic cooperation and strengthening of business relationships between Azerbaijan and Russia, spoke about IBA Group’s participation in integration projects within the CIS and IBA-Moscow’s activities in regions of Russia. On behalf of the Bank’s management Safarov expressed confidence that cooperation between IBA-Moscow and Yaroslavl region’s business community will make a significant contribution to strengthening good neighborly inter-ethnic relations in the region.
