Hitachi Automotive Systems Europe GmbH (Headquarters: Munich, Germany, Managing Director: Takashi Shiraishi) announced today that it acquired 100% share of HUECO Automotive GmbH (Headquarters: Espelkamp, Germany, Managing Director: Christian Westerkamp) from HUECO electronic GmbH (Headquarters: Espelkamp, Germany, Managing Director: Christian Westerkamp), a portfolio company of Sued Beteiligungen GmbH, to strengthen its automotive aftermarket business in the European market.

Hitachi Automotive Systems Europe is a subsidiary of Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. and controls all Hitachi activities related to sales, manufacturing and development of automotive parts in the European market.
 HUECO Automotive was originally founded in 1980 for the purpose of manufacture and sales of automotive aftermarket products, and has been expanding its distribution network especially in Europe. In 2005 HUECO Automotive started manufacturing operations in India to increase manufacturing competitiveness. Hitachi Automotive Systems Europe intends to further expand its automotive aftermarket business in Europe by utilizing the enhanced resources, sales channels and experiences gained through the acquisition of HUECO Automotive.
