OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2012. As of November 2011 results passenger traffic of Moscow Domodedovo Airport amounted to 1 849 898 people which us an 8,3% increase compared to November 2010. Growth of passenger traffic for January – November compared to respective period in 2010 made 15,6%. For 11 months in 2011 Domodedovo airport handled 23 864 598 people, making 1 611 069 people more than in 2010 in total. December 21, it is for the first time in the history of the Moscow Aviation Hub as well as in the Russian aviation industry as such, Domodedovo serviced 25 mln passenger from the beginning of the year record.

Throughout November 2011 the airport services were used for domestic operations by 824 267 people. It is an increase of 24, 8% than compared to November 2010 figures. For January – November period of 2011 domestic passenger traffic amounted to 9 384 028 people, that is 16,7% increase compared the corresponding period in 2010. The most popular destinations such as Novy Urengoy, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, and Vladivostok, were demanded by 1 696 000 passengers. On these destinations 1 696 000 passengers were handled which is 47,3% more compared with the corresponding period last year.

According to November figures international passenger traffic fell 2,1% compared with last year record thus making 1 025 631 passengers. As for January – November period in 2011, international passenger traffic amounted to 14 480 570 people (14,9% increased compared with January – November period in 2010). Passenger growth was mostly fixed with the following destinations: Antalya, Barcelona, Dusseldorf, Burgas and Munich. For 11 months period of 2011 2 382 000 passengers were serviced on these routes which is 56,2% higher the figures of the corresponding period in 2010.

November 2011 saw an increase of 6,2% of flights compared with November 2010 numbers and amounted to 18 852 take off and landing operations. According to January – November 2011 results, 223 860 flights were serviced which is 15,3% more compared with the corresponding period in 2010.

In November 2010 freight traffic of Moscow Domodedovo Airport made 17 368 tons that is 2,7% more compared with the last year. For January – November period 2011 freight traffic of Domodedovo Airport increased 19,7% compared with the corresponding period last year and amounted to 172 676 tons.
