OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2012. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has paid about 2.5 million rubles to a commercial farm of Tula oblast in connection with the crop damage.

Winter wheat crop on the total area of 945 ha was insured against loss or partial loss for the total amount of 10.8 million rubles.

The insured event was the last summer drought, which resulted in the emergency situation regime in Tula oblast. In order to ascertain the damage, an investigation was carried out, following the results of which the event was considered as insured, and Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has paid to commercial farm the indemnity under the insurance agreement. Let us note that this is the third major insurance indemnification paid to agricultural companies – customers of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company due to the drought in Tula oblast in summer 2011.

The insured crop was the subject of pledge of Tula regional branch of Rosselkhozbank OJSC as the part of the loan.
