SOGAZ Fees Made up 94 Billion Rubles over Nine Months
OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. Total fees collected by SOGAZ Insurance Group companies for the period from January 2011 till September 2011 made up 94.02 billion rubles, which is a 20% increase year-on-year. Total amount of payments by the Group made up 62.26 billion rubles.
The amount of collected property insurance premium increased by 22% and made up 28.68 billion rubles. Payments accounted for 6.53 billion rubles. Liability insurance premiums accounted for 2.59 billion rubles (-16%), payments were 753 million rubles. In voluntary personal insurance (without life insurance), the fees grew up to 17.53 billion rubles (+11%), payments made up 12.78 billion rubles. Compulsory health insurance fees increased by 24% (43.57 billion rubles), payments accounted for 41.03 billion rubles.
Total assets of SOGAZ Insurance Group companies in late September 2011 accounted for 111.01 billion rubles. Insurance funds (gross) of the Group grew up to 76.89 billion rubles (+11%). Aggregate capital of the Group increased by 22% and made up 25.59 billion rubles. Return on investments of SOGAZ Group accounted for 3.18 billion rubles (+1%). Net income of the Group (according to Russian Accounting Standards) increased by 10% and reached 5.86 billion rubles.
“This year Russian insurance activity, save for certain types, shows a positive momentum. The growth is driven by motor insurance (against car theft and damage), (motor own damage insurance), voluntary health insurance, property insurance of legal entities and individuals, as well as life risk insurance. In general, according to our estimates, the insurance market volume (except for compulsory health insurance) will increase by some 17% by the end of the year”, says Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the Management Board of SOGAZ Insurance Group.
