OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. In this July, OJSC Gazprom promgaz won a tender for the development of the general scheme of gasification of the city of Tomsk. The Municipal Contract with the Tomsk Administration Capital Construction Department concluded based on the results of the tender envisages development of the general scheme of gasification and gas distribution for the city to provide calculated quantities of natural gas supply to the existing and prospective customers.

OJSC Gazprom promgaz will also analyze the existing and prospective needs in fuel gas of the city of Tomsk for the heat and power facilities, public utility and industrial companies, and population. Energy audit of heat supply systems of the city will be conducted and municipal gas pipelines schemes will be developed based on the reconstruction of existing and construction of new ones.

At the press conference held by the Interfax Siberia News Agency, Alexei Marchenko, Tomsk vice Mayor in charge of Capital Construction, said that this programme can be implemented within five years. It will provide gasification of ca. 10 thousand households; this will require 1.6 billion roubles. In addition, the project will include repairs of intra-urban gas distribution network (1-2 billion roubles), construction of a 53 km long inter-village ring (2.5 billion roubles), and a small energy development investment programme (9 billion roubles).

Based on the results of the work, OJSC Gazprom promgaz will prepare proposals on milestones for development of gas supply and gas distribution systems for the period till 2025.

Gasification level of the Tomsk Region is 7.4%, including in the cities — 7.1%, in the rural areas — 7.9% versus average Russian indicators that are equal to 63.2%, 67.5% and 45.5% accordingly. At the moment, Tomsk due to GRES-2, TEC-3, Tomsk Petrochemical Combine and other industrial enterprises consumes 2.054 billion cubic meters of gas annually. Whereas the housing and public utilities sector natural gas fuel balance share is more than 45%.
