OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. The session of the International Gas Union’s Natural Gas Utilization Working Committee 5 (IGU WOC 5) was held in Porto, Portugal including, workshops on gas utilization in industry, transport and housing and public utilities sector.

Representatives of gas companies from different countries of the world participated in the session, including the OJSC Gazprom promgaz delegation.

At the workshop on gas utilization in industry, Alexey Zorya, Deputy Director General, and Irina Kirshina, Head of Feasibility Studies Sector, represented a report based on their research “Efficient Use of Natural Gas in Industrial Sectors”.

Vladislav Karasevich, Director of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Research and Development Center, and Evgeniy Melekhin, Head of Feasibility Studies Department, presented a report on “Gas Utilization Technologies and Advanced Practices “.

The IGU WOC 5 study group experts expressed their satisfaction with the session results and mentioned the high level of participation of JSC Gazprom promgaz in the Committee`s activities.
