OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2011. Recently Baosteel successfully received the order of anti HIC/SSCC UOE line pipes for commercial gas capacity construction project of Turkmenistan's South Yoloten Field. The order is the first order of sulphur resistant UOE line pipe received by Baosteel successfully.

The pipeline is 35.77 km long totally, requiring nearly 16,000t of anti-HIC/SSCC line pipe products. The ratio of thickness to radial dimension of this order is up to 0.045, creating the record of production since Baosteel UOE line was put into production.

Giving full play to the advantages of through-going system from steel-making to tube manufacturing Baosteel, Baosteel succeeded in trial manufacture of actual products, won the trust of the owner and got the contract.

The smooth completion of the project will break through zero supply of Baosteel's sulphur resistant UOE line pipe and lay the foundation for Baosteel's UOE line pipe to advance to the high end sulphur resistant line pipe market.
