OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2011. The only state-owned commercial insurance company of Azerbaijan, Azersigorta, has applied to the State Insurance Supervision Service under the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan for its inclusion in the Register of the Compulsory Insurance Bureau.

Company’s first deputy head Aftandil Hajiyev informs that Azersigorta has already sent its request to Service and is awaiting a response.

"We intend to provide services on all types of mandatory insurance within the Bureau – on compulsory insurance of passengers (membership fee: AZN 100), fire insurance (AZN 100,000), insurance of real estate (AZN 200,000), insurance of civil liability of real estate users (AZN 200,000)," Hajiyev said.

To date, the Bureau’s Registry has been included five companies - Atesgah Sigorta, Xalq Sigorta, Standard Insurance, Ata Sigorta and PASHA Sigorta.

The Compulsory Insurance Bureau of Azerbaijan was established in compliance with the Law on Mandatory Types of Insurance.
