OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2011. Air Moldova Airline Company has transported 9,500 transfer passengers in 2011 through Chisinau International Airport as a hub.

Transit flights from Moscow to European capitals and vice versa, with stopovers in Chisinau, was implemented by Air Moldova in June 2009. This became possible thanks to the development of special transit tariffs, very attractive for Air Moldova flights with stopover in Chisinau.

Besides the attractive prices of tickets, passengers can appreciate the convenience of the Chisinau International Airport as a transit hub, with a 35 min time of transfer to the next race.

The 9,500 transit passenger is Eva Fotiadoy, a Russian citizen who purchased ticket on Air Moldova flight itinerary for Moscow-Chisinau-Larnaca. The jubilee transit passenger was congratulated on December 26 by Air Moldova representatives with Air Moldova souvenirs and a special gift - a certificate for free round-trip flight in business class to any direct flight operated by Air Moldova, during 2012.

The company also offered VIP services for this passenger that means the opportunity to pass formalities in the VIP status and to wait for the next race in the cozy VIP lounge.

Air Moldova is the largest airline operator in the Moldovan market, holding about 50% of air transportations on the national market. During 2011 the company moved to its direct flights over 480 000 passengers.
