OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2011. Tata BP Solar has been announced as the winner of Impact Business Award for 'Innovative models promoting adaptation and climate technologies' after two rounds of judging amongst several international applicants.

The Impact Business Award is implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and organised by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit.

Tata BP Solar’s entry for the award was `Transforming lives with solar solutions — solar home lighting project of Tata BP Solar with grameen banks'.

This prize is a recognition for the innovativeness of the business model and achievements in combating climate change. Besides, the international jury has complimented Tata BP Solar‘s efforts in promoting economic development in India while providing substantial environmental benefits.

The Impact Business Award Prize offers:

Opportunities to present companies‘ work to influential representatives from business and industry at the International Business Forum ceremony and conference scheduled to be held at the end of 2012.

Monetary prize.

National and international publicity.

Membership in the International Business Forum network, where leading practitioners and intellectual leaders from the business and government sector exchange their views.
