OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2011. Ukraine should increase revenues from software exports to USD 8 billion by 2015. It was announced on Friday by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov during meeting with public organizations where was discussed the issue of increasing innovativeness of the economy and the creation of intellectual personnel reserve.

The Prime Minister reminded that on Thursday the Parliament adopted in first reading a bill which provides economic experiment and creates favorable conditions for development of IT industry.

"This law is extremely important. It introduces a tax on profits of IT companies at a rate only 16%, a single social tax and exemption of IT companies from paying VAT.

The ultimate aim of this experiment, which was for five years - an annual increase employed in this area by 20% - so that in five years to double the number of employees in the IT industry and raise the 2015 level of exports of software products on the level of approximately USD 8 billion. This is our strength "- said Mykola Azarov.
