OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2011. EURO-4 diesel engine has been assembled and past qualified tests on validation of EURO-4 diesel engine performance in OJSC "Zavolzhskiy motorny Zavod" (a branch of SOLLERS group).

 This is diesel small-capacity engine of new generation ZMZ-51432 (2,2 l) with fuel supply system "Common Rail".

 EURO-4 diesel engine is absolutely new product of ZMZ which requires new technology of manufacturing and assembly.

 It will be produced in different versions for kitting of all UAZ passenger and dual-purpose vehicles.

 Currently produced EURO-3 engines are intended for kitting of "UAZ- Hunter" vehicle and for LCV under orders of Ministry of Defense.

 EURO-4 diesel engine contains more than 100 original parts and assys: cylinder head, piston group, fuel system, turbocharger, cooler, valve system, vacuum pump and other.

Due to this it was succeeded to increase power and economic parameters, simultaneously decreasing emissions twice in comparison with vehicles with EURO-3 engine ZMZ-514 and fulfill more strict requirements of the standard on noise level.

 Herewith maximum power of engine is increased from 97 h.p. at 4000 rpm upto 114 h.p.at 3500 rpm., peak torque is increased from 23,5 kgf/m at 1800 rpm upto 27,5 kgf/m, and specific consumption is decreased from 240 to 208 g/(kWh).

 Collectives of UAZ and ZMZ and from local and foreign manufacturers of automotive components have been in mutual hard work on development of EURO-4 diesel engine.

Currently engine ZMZ-51432 "EURO-4" was delivered to UAZ for tryout in assembly of vehicle on conveyor.
