AXA MBASK Holds First Insurance Agencies Forum
OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2011. Insurance company AXA MBASK has organized the first forum of insurance agencies at the Hyatt Regency.
The Company reports that the Forum became the first event of such kind in Azerbaijan. It was attended by heads of insurance companies and insurance agents cooperating with AXA MBASK. At the Forum speech was delivered by chairman of the Supervisory Board of AXA SIРORTA (Turkey) Jamal Ererdi, AXA MBASK chairman of board Yavuz Olken, AXA MBASK deputy chairman Rashad Abbasov, and AXA MBASK board member Selcuk Adiguzel.
The main topics of discussion at the forum were issues associated with development of sales agencies in Azerbaijan, international practice of agency sales, plans and strategy of expansion of agencies in 2012, as well as issues related to sales of compulsory insurance through a network of agents in the capital and regions. The Forum participants were also demonstrated new software Phoenix to facilitate greatly work of agents in the design of insurance contracts.
Commenting on the I Forum of AXA MBASK insurance agencies, AXA SIРORTA Supervisory Board chairman and AXA MBASK Supervisory Board member Jamal Ererdi noted that "the figure of the insurance agent keeps quite an important role in the global insurance market".
"Today, the share of this distribution channel in the developed countries reaches 60%. Agents, working closely with clients and consulting them as necessary, help them make choices among the current diversity of insurance products. Development of network of insurance agents contributes to the overall development of the insurance market in Azerbaijan. Realizing quite well the significance of the network of agencies, AXA MBASK has established an extensive network not only in Baku but also in other regions of the country, guided by the goal to be closer to the citizens. To this end, we created a lot of agencies and by applying modern technologies are going to establish a high level of customer service in the shortest time. The share of the sales channel in the first year was 10%, and within 5 years we aim to bring it up to 60%,".Ererdi said.
According to Ererdi, for that by sending agents to training courses, the Company tries to provide the customers in the near future with educated and fully trained agents.
"For the first time in Azerbaijan, we have held a meeting of agents, which was attended by many agents and arranged interactive meetings. This event demonstrated that we can develop in the Azerbaijani market more rapidly. AXA MBASK leaders’ confidence in the attainability of this goal and positive contact with the agents allows our Company to move to the attainment of strategic advantage. I wish this meeting would bring benefit both to our Company and the Azerbaijani insurance sector in general," he stated.
