OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2011. The government of Belarus expects the nation’s growth domestic product to grow

by 5-5.5% in 2012, Vice Premier Sergei Rumas told a joint session of Belarus’ parliament Wednesday with reference to the government’s economic forecast for 2012.

The government’s optimistic economic forecast is based on the forecast for global economic growth and economic trends in Belarus’ major trade partners, Rumas said.

The growth of added value in the industrial sector is forecast on the assumption that industrial output will grow by at least 5.5-6.5%, while material consumption is expected to go down by 2-3%/, the vice premier said.
