OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2011. Through its chemical subsidiary Azerikimya, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) commences cooperating with the petrochemical complex of Belarus.

Today in Baku Belarusian ambassador Nikolai Patskevich to Azerbaijan has said that the two countries’ petrochemical complexes can complement each other.

"We have been already discussing the possibility of reciprocal deliveries of chemical products and other forms of collaboration and partnership between the petrochemical complexes of both states. As a result, it has been agreed that in the first quarter of 2012 Azerikimya’s representatives will visit Belarus, and then our experts will arrive in Azerbaijan," Patskevich said.

The SOCAR has already cooperated with Belarus, by supplying there oil within the swap of participation of Venezuela.
