Exhibition of Turkish Export Commodities Closed in Ashgabat
OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2011. The exhibition of export commodities of the Republic of Turkey closed at the Sergi Kosgi Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat. The forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey in collaboration with the MERIDYEN Company, the large exhibition operator in Turkey.
This year the exhibition of Turkish export commodities has been held in Ashgabat for the eighth time. It became an opportunity for over 70 companies and firms from different regions of Turkey to showcase their industrial potential and export capacity. The business delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the exhibition.
The fact that the exhibition of Turkish export commodities is held on a regular basis evidences the keen interest of Turkish companies in enhancing business contacts with Turkmenistan. In its turn, Turkmenistan that has made great progress in economic diversification and modernization is interested in widely attracting advanced technologies, using modern cost effective materials and adopting best international practices.
Specialists of Turkmen ministries and departments, institutions and enterprises from Ashgabat and the regions of the country, Turkmen businessmen and representatives of foreign companies operating in our country visited the three-day exhibition which provided them with a clear idea of the export potential of Turkish manufacturers.
This exhibition vividly illustrated the rapid economic growth of Turkmenistan that provided a wide field for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey in a number of important spheres and the strengthening of Turkmenistan’s reputation of being a dependable business partner.
The membership of exhibition participants reflected the fields of intensifying Turkmen-Turkish trade and economic relations. The companies manufacturing chemical products, textiles, beverages, consumers’ goods and furniture were widely represented at the exhibition along the companies manufacturing building materials which presented the greatest number of expositions.
The multifaceted expositions presented high technologies and modern types of telemetry, communications, electrical products and cable television equipment which is great demand in Turkmen economy.
The business agenda of the exhibition included numerous presentations of the participating companies and firms and the meetings with Turkish businessmen at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The exhibition of export commodities of the Republic of Turkey in Ashgabat provided an open platform for holding meeting and talks between Turkmen and Turkish businesses and companies which resulted in concluding new contracts that would contribute to enhancing mutually beneficial relations. Turkmen entrepreneurs were very active in negotiating with Turkish companies. The contracts for delivery of plastic pipes, ceramic tile, marble, road equipment, furniture fittings, children’s goods, etc. were concluded during the exhibition.
In the afternoon the ceremony of closing exhibition of export commodities of the Republic of Turkey took place at the Sergi Kosgi Exhibition Centre. Exhibition participants received diplomas and certificates during the ceremony.
