Moscow Metro Inaugurates Three Stations
OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2011. Moscow Metro has inaugurated the southernmost section of Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line bringing three new stations – Borisovo, Shipilovskaya and Zyablikovo – into passenger service.
The inauguration of the line section is indeed a long-awaited event, since construction of the stations began over 20 years ago. The use of the general approach to the design of the stations resulted in their similar architectural style, lighting and the materials deployed.
Elevators make the stations easily accessible for the disabled people. There are also bumpy strips before the escalators and staircases, LED lighting and double handrails that make traveling easier.
Zyablikovo station connects Krasnogvardeiskaya station providing an interchange between Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya and Zamoskvoretskaya lines.
