OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2011. Construction of “Mzymta” substation (110 kv) is completed in Sochi. A new energy facility will provide power supply of the Russian National Sliding Centre, Freestyle Centre, and mountain Olympic village.

“Mzymta” substation was constructed in less than two years. The most innovative decisions were applied during its construction. The substation is the closed type facility: all the equipment is installed at the territory of 972 m2. Such a technical decision minimizes energy facility impact upon the environment. Besides, the substation is constructed with increased strength materials and has earthquake resistance of rate 9.

Developer of the project is OJSC "Federal network company of the Unified Energy System".
