OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2011. Wuhan Steel has received praise for the excellent performance of its high-grade non grain-oriented silicon steel used in turbine generators installed at Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba hydropower stations along the Jinsha River in Yunnan.

The mill has supplied more than 1,000 tons of high-grade silicon steel to the two projects that are still under construction, each with the designed capacity closely behind the Three Gorges Dam.

The success came after the company had provided the Three Gorges Dam project with such a material in the first half of the year, breaking the long-lasting monopoly of foreign companies in this field.
