OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2011. “EUROCEMENT group”, JSC begins construction of a new cement plant with capacity of 1.3 million tons of cement per year in Spasskoe village, Blagodarnniy district, Stavropol Krai. The announcement on this was made today during the First Stone Laying Ceremony at the base of the construction of a cement plant which was attended by Igor Sechin, Deputy Prime Minister, the governor of the Stavropol Krai Valery Gajewski, representatives of ministries and departments and Filaret Galchev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding . 

As noted during the ceremony, the new plant would be commissioned in 2015. It will provide 400 jobs, and taking into account the additional jobs, the total number of staff, involved in the maintenance company, will amount to 1,000 people. Total volume of investments into construction by the Holding will be 14 billion rubles. 

The transition to a new level of cement production will be achieved through the full automation of all processes using advanced high-tech equipment that has no analogues in Russia. The new plant will be located in an area of 40 ha, the capacity of one production line will be 3.5 tons of clinker per day. The territory of the new plant will include 30 manufacturing facilities. The total amount of metal ware that will be involved by the Holding in the process of construction of a new cement plant will be 20 thousand tons. This is one of the largest figures in the North Caucasus Federal District. 

According to Filaret Galchev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding” a new cement plant in the Spasskoe village will meet the most stringent national and European environmental requirements for such businesses. The above-mentioned plant will introduce the latest developments in the field of environmental control monitoring. These developments are currently used by the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding in the process of construction of a new innovation cement plant in the Voronezh region.”

Construction of a new plant will involve breakthrough technology solutions which will make a new plant of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding in the Stavropol Krai one of the most energy efficient in recent years. Power consumption of the new cement plant will be – 35 MW, electricity consumption – 105 kWh/t of cement, gas consumption – 103 million m?/year – 105 kilograms of coal equivalent per 1 ton of clinker which is less than the average energy consumption of a typical cement plant of the Russian cement industry energy-wise – by 15%, gas consumption-wise – by 50%.

Productivity in the new plant, as compared with other plants which use “wet process” technology of cement production, will increase 4 times.
