Eurocement Begins Construction of Innovative Cement Plant
OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2011. “EUROCEMENT group”, JSC begins construction of a new cement plant with capacity of 1.3 million tons of cement per year in Spasskoe village, Blagodarnniy district, Stavropol Krai. The announcement on this was made today during the First Stone Laying Ceremony at the base of the construction of a cement plant which was attended by Igor Sechin, Deputy Prime Minister, the governor of the Stavropol Krai Valery Gajewski, representatives of ministries and departments and Filaret Galchev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding .
As noted during the ceremony, the new plant would be commissioned in 2015. It will provide 400 jobs, and taking into account the additional jobs, the total number of staff, involved in the maintenance company, will amount to 1,000 people. Total volume of investments into construction by the Holding will be 14 billion rubles.

Construction of a new plant will involve breakthrough technology solutions which will make a new plant of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding in the Stavropol Krai one of the most energy efficient in recent years. Power consumption of the new cement plant will be – 35 MW, electricity consumption – 105 kWh/t of cement, gas consumption – 103 million m?/year –
Productivity in the new plant, as compared with other plants which use “wet process” technology of cement production, will increase 4 times.
