BEA China Celebrates Its 100th Outlet in Shanghai
OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2011. The Bank of East Asia (“BEA”) announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary on the Mainland, The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited (“BEA China”), has opened its Shanghai Zhangjiang Sub-branch in Zhangjiang Area of Pudong, Shanghai. The new sub-branch is not only BEA China’s 100th outlet on the Mainland, but also the first with mission to provide banking and financial services to small enterprises in Mainland China, particularly those in and around the rapidly developing Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, reported the press-centre of BEA China.
Shanghai Zhangjiang Sub-branch was established in accordance with the “Notification on Supporting Commercial Banks to Enhance Financial Services for Small Enterprises” promulgated by the China Banking Regulatory Commission as well as other related regulations announced earlier this year, in an effort to support the financing of small enterprises on the Mainland. The new sub-branch will mainly provide businesses with small loans up to Renminbi 5 million, as well as other relevant services.
