OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2011. Following a proposal of the President of the Russian Bakers Union, Anatoly Kosovan, the Head of FAS Russia Igor Artemyev signed an Agreement of Cooperation between the Federal Antimonopoly Service and “Russian Bakers Union” NGO, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Under the Agreement, Russian Bakers Union, in particular, will systematically monitor the market of bread and bakery products to analyse the overall price situation and expose the facts of unfair competition, and will inform FAS Russia about the findings, as well as provide other information to the antimonopoly bodies necessary to develop competition on these markets.

“Concluding the Agreement will strengthen interaction between the parties, aimed at developing competition on the market of bread and bakery products, improving government control over compliance with the antimonopoly law, and will enable FAS to more promptly resolve the issues of developing the market of bread and bakery products – one of the most essential markets of socially important good products”, emphasised Deputy Head of FAS, Andrey Tsyganov.

Information about signing the Agreement was brought to the notice of representatives of business-community, non-commercial organisations and other interested persons at a meeting of FAS Expert Council on Agro-Industry.
