OREANDA-NEWS. December 15, 2011. In January—September 2011 the total volume of direct insurance premiums of the St. Petersburg branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company amounted to 1,264 mln. rubles, which is a 9 % increase on the same period in 2010.

Insurance premiums for voluntary non-life insurance amounted to 936 mln. rubles (a 2 % increase), including the revenues from property insurance — 801 mln. rubles (a 1 % increase), from liability insurance — 37 mln. rubles (a 58 % increase). 328 mln. rubles in premiums (a 57% increase) were collected from compulsory motor third party liability insurance (OSAGO).

During the first 9 months of 2011, payments made by the St. Petersburg branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company under direct insurance amounted to 1,009 mln. rubles, including payments under voluntary personal insurance — 70 mln. rubles, under property insurance — 706 mln. rubles, and under voluntary liability insurance — 31 mln. rubles. Payments under compulsory motor third party liability insurance (OSAGO) amounted to 201 mln. rubles.

The most rapidly developing business lines in the St. Petersburg branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company during the specified period were motor own damage insurance (CASCO) and compulsory motor third party liability insurance (OSAGO).
