Recently, for the Tarim Oilfield super 13Cr tubing emergency contract, Steel Pipe and Tube Business Unit responds quickly, forms a collaborative team, shortens the production cycle and completes the first batch of 150 tons of products in 48 days, creating Baosteel super 13Cr tubing manufacturing speed record, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

Recently, the first batch of products is officially delivered and the technical indicators fulfill customer requirements in the test.

In this September, the Tarim Oilfield has an emergency order contract of 300 ton super 13Cr of two specifications with Steel Pipe and Tube Business Unit, in order to address the current oil production need. This batch of products is used in the domestic main natural gas source. The condition is extremely poor. As an alternative to imported products, there is high technical requirement on material properties, inner and outer appearance, size and sealing precision and delivery is urgent. Thus, Steel Pipe and Tube Business Unit organizes multi-sectoral project team, who goes all out to organize production.

To ensure that the contract is accomplished according to quality and on schedule, Steel Pipe and Tube Business Unit compiles manufacturing specifications according to control plan, and follows the "locomotive schedule" type implementation and advancement. All sectors pay attention to the critical process deadline and key points and do technology research. For the rolling problem, preliminary rolling mill develops new technology and improves operational efficiency; In order to ensure the material requirements, seamless steel pipe mill strictly develops heat treatment process; Refining mill creates the conditions for the subsequent production and strictly controls rolling quality; Quality inspection station carries out strict final testing on every tube, with 100% product sampling qualified rate.
