OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2011. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Komi Republic (Komi OFAS Russia) found that “LUKOIL-Severo-Zapadnefteproduct” Ltd. fixed unreasonably high retail prices for gasoline (grades АI-80, АI-92, АI-95) in Syktyvkar, Ukhta and Usinsk in December 2010 and recognised that the company violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (abusing market dominance), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

“LUKOIL-Severo-Zapadnefteproduct” Ltd. was issued a determination to prevent actions that can lead to unreasonable increase of prices.

“Control over prices for motor fuel is one of priorities in our work. Exposing the facts of economically unreasonable increase of prices, OFAS will apply all sanctions provided for by the antimonopoly law to suppress such abuses”, pointed out Deputy Head of Komi OFAS Russia, Ms. Tatiana Mikhailova.
