OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2011. JSC NC "KazMunayGas" (hereinafter - KMG) and Association KAZENERGY organized an excursion for high school students of Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum for gifted boys of Astana.

This project is intended for reviving the career-oriented work aimed at enriching the knowledge of the younger generation about oil and gas industry.

NC KMG provided sponsorship on a permanent basis to the Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum. For example, last year the cabinet of chemistry “KazMunayGas”-KAZENERGY” was equipped, chemical kits and information boards were purchased. specialists of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" in the field of oil refining and petrochemical industries acted as speakers.

- Now our company is helping to purchase Tablet PCs in order to introduce the latest educational electronic information system in the Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum. We are pleased to realize that this support contributed to the excellent results shown by the students of the Lyceum on national and international Olympiads in chemistry and biology, - said Serikbek Yelshibekov, the general manager on business support of NC "KazMunayGas” JSC.

Students of the Lyceum visited the main control room (MCR) of “KazTransOil” JSC (100% subsidiary of JSC NC "KazMunayGas"), which carries out operational control over the management of oil trunk pipelines and water conduits.

Chief Dispatcher of “KazTransOil” JSC Konilimshat Kusherbayev has got familiar students with the working conditions and discussed the basic principles of the MCR. Operational control of the management of oil trunk pipelines and water conduits, reception, transportation, oil and water supplies, supplying oil tank cars and tankers to drain liquid-points, maintenance of optimum modes of transiting crude oil and water, as well as taking urgent measures to disable the emergency sections of pipelines and water conduits, reservoirs and intra-communications, timely actuating backup heating furnace and pumping equipment in case of failure of existing ones are carried out from this place.

Excursion participants were got familiar with the activity of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" and showed a documentary film about development of Kazakhstan oil and gas industry since opening the first oil well on Karashungul oil field (Atyrau region) in 1899 up to the present day.

After the excursion JSC NC "KazMunayGas" presented the students mementoes.
