OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2011. JSW Steel Limited reported Crude Steel production of 5.70 lacs tons, with a growth of 2% for October'2011 compared to that of corresponding month in the last fiscal year and 20% sequentially.

The Company's Vijayanagar unit operated only at an average capacity utilization rate of 63% during October 2011 due to shortage of Iron ore. Even though the Company procured Iron ore in the E-auctions, the availability of ore at plant remains a bottleneck due to procedural delays and logistical constraints in movement of ore.
