OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2011. A press tour of the NPiNHZ Complex was organized for federal, regional, national and local media, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

In the framework of the activities timed to the International Year of Chemistry OAO TANECO arranged a presentation of the commissioned refinery. The first phase of TANECO Oil Refining & Petrochemical Plants (NPiNHZ) Complex in Nizhnekamsk became a full-fledged player of the crude oil refining industry branch in Russia after receiving a license from Rostechnadzor for operation of explosion-hazardous production facilities.

Representatives of the media made a familiarizing tour of the Complex visiting the production, as well as engineering and economic facilities.

The first starting complex includes a CDU-AVT-7 installation, a naphtha stabilization block, a flare system, a crude oil tank farm, commodity parks and loading racks, facilities of engineering systems (water supply and sewage, steam supply, gas supply, instrumentation air supply, process air and nitrogen supply), and also power supply and treatment facilities.

A press conference attended by Nail Maganov, First Deputy General Director of TATNEFT - Head of Oil and Petroleum Products Sales Department, as well as Davletshin Farid, Head of the Company's Investment Department, and Khamza Bagmanov, General Director of TANECO, was arranged for the representatives of the Russian and Republican press.

The journalists discussed the progress of the project implementation, the issues related to production activities, the infrastructure and development prospects of TANECO with the management of TATNEFT and NPiNHZ complex.

Currently, comprehensive testing of the tar visbreaking unit continues at NPiNHZ Complex. Installation/construction and commissioning works at the block of sulfur production are at the stage of completion.

Today TATNEFT implements a program of further development of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex: deep processing of crude oil aiming at increasing the yield of medium distillates (kerosene and diesel fuel). The plans for 2013 envisage putting in operation a combined hydrocracking unit with production of base oils.

The issues regarding TANECO's environmental safety were raised during the communication with the press. A multilevel system of continuous environmental control providing for continuous monitoring of the environment has been implemented at the NPiNHZ Complex. The stages of construction and production activities are carried out in strict compliance with international norms and standards of environmental laws and industrial safety. From an environmental point of view the TANECO Complex is a sample application of best available technologies in this field.
