Ukraine, Pakistan Develop Trade and Economic Сooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2011. Ukraine and Pakistan have considered a number of projects aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation, during a meeting the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Volodymyr Bandurov with the Pakistani delegation headed by Trade Development Authority of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Tariq Iqbal Puri.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the establishment of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Pakistan commission for trade and economic cooperation, participation of Ukrainian enterprises in the implementation of infrastructure and energy projects in Pakistan, being implemented as part of reforms in this country.
The Deputy Minister noted that Ukraine is interested to intensify cooperation with Pakistan in various sectors, particularly in industry, metallurgy, agriculture, engineering, aerospace and transport sectors.
In turn, the Pakistani side invited the representatives of Ukraine for participation in the international business event which would be take place in Pakistan in 2012, and expressed a number of proposals to increase export of Ukrainian goods.
Volodymyr Bandurov noted that the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is paying special attention to developing trade and economic cooperation with countries in Southeast Asia, including with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
"Ukraine has always been and would be remain open, predictable and reliable partner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and is prepared to consider proposals, programs and projects of the Pakistani side, directed to deepen our mutual cooperation, which has great prospects and potential," Volodymyr Bandurov emphasized.
