OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2011. The Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), Igor Artemyev, and the Governor of the Rostov Region, Vasily Golubev, signed an Agreement of Cooperation, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The parties agreed about organising events aimed at protecting competition and creating conditions for effective market performance, implementing the programme for developing competition in the Rostov region, as well as for observing the antimonopoly law.

On behalf of FAS, the Agreement will be executed by the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Rostov region (Rostov OFAS Russia), on behalf of the Government of the Rostov region – the Department of the Rostov region for Investments and Entrepreneurship.

According to the Agreement, FAS will inform the Government of the Rostov region about the fact of violating the law, provide advisory services on the issues within the scope of references of the antimonopoly authority. FAS will also inform the Government of the Rostov region about the findings of market analysis and monitoring. In its turn, the Government of the Rostov region will make sure that proposals and information, presented by FAS, will be considered with involvement of experts of executive bodies, and such experts will also take part in other joint events.

“Concluding the Agreement will make cooperation with executive bodies more efficient. Information exchange, mutual consultations, organisation of joint events will facilitate prevention and suppressing violations of the antimonopoly law. It will also become a new stage of joint, targeted efforts toward improving competitive environment in the Rostov region”, commented the Head of Rostov OFAS Russia, Vadim Korneev.
