OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2011. GM Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-US joint venture, increased production of automobiles by 3.2% year-on-year in nine months of 2011 to 165,358 cars, the State Statistics Committee said.

The committee noted that production of specialized automobiles in Uzbekistan decreased by 29.7% to 472 units.

In the reporting period, Uzbekistan manufactured 538 cargo automobiles, which fell by 14.3% year-on-year, the committee added.

According to the official data, the country decreased production of buses by 11.7% to 738 units.
Production of accumulators made up 356,100 units in January-September 2011. The growth rate made up 25.7% year-on-year.
